General Kregg soon met Anissa in the Viltrumite Warship as she reported that she was unsuccessful in her attempts to sway Mark to their cause. She did however, reassure Kregg that it was only a matter of time before he would come to their side. In Invincible Vol 1 110, Anissa violently assaults and rapes Mark.
Understanding the Context
Six months before the assault, she (seemingly innocently) kissed Mark, despite her adamant refusal to engage with humans in any romantic or sexual manner. Played by Shantel VanSanten, Anissa is a dangerous but calm Viltrumite who plays a pivotal role in forcing Invincible to confront the dangers posed by the expansive Viltrumite Empire (as well as leading directly to the heartbreaking break-up between Mark and his girlfriend, Amber.) Anissa is a lot more caring in the Prime Video animated series, even though she is still sadistic in how she pummels Mark. Still, she doesn't enjoy the violence, nor does she keep demanding his head if he doesn't join them. Anissa is a major antagonist in Invincible, debuting from Season 2 and onwards.
